Tim Duncan grew up being a swimmer and loving swimming. Swimming was his passion and he was also swimming well. He ended his swimming career when a storm destroyed their swimming pool which is the only swimming pool in their town. He can just swim in the beach but he can't because he has phobia of sharks. That's when he transferred to basketball where he has such an amazing career. He was the No. 1 pick in the 1997 NBA draft where he was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs.

The Detroit Pistons are way better than i expected-and I mean really. Since they waived Josh Smith, the Detroit Pistons have been playing like a playoff contender. They won 7 straight games including a win over the defending champs, the San Antonio Spurs. I was really impressed on the way they have played so far.So to conclude, Josh Smith was the REASON for the mediocrity of the Pistons, not the Pistons as a whole.

The backcourt of Curry and Thompson is the best backcourt in the NBA right now. Both of them lead the Golden State Warriors to the best record in the league with just 5 losses. If they play like this, the other players can get involve too which gives them a big chance to win the 2015 NBA championship. They were called "Splash" Brothers because both of them are so good in shooting the 3 point basket that sometimes the ball only touches the net.

These players are not just one of the greatest basketball players of one of the best organizations in the NBA but one of the greatest players the league has ever seen. The Lakers won a total of 16 championships in the NBA.

Teamwork and intelligence do win championships. A concrete example from this quote is the San Antonio Spurs beat the Miami Heat in the 2014 NBA Finals. We all know that last season the roster of the young Miami Heat is more talented than the aging SA Spurs but despite this, San Antonio beat Miami in the Finals 4-1 in the best of seven series. The Spurs had a passing party against the Heat last Finals which resulted a blowout win. All of them were so unselfish that Kawhi Leonard, who is not even an All Star, became the NBA Finals MVP. So to all who plays basketball, learn to trust your teammates and pass them the ball because that is what basketball is all about.

With a successful surgery on his foot, Julius Randle is expected to be fully recovered by next season. I hope he finishes next season healthy. This season should’ve been the season to develop him but because he suffered a broken right leg on his first NBA game, he is out for the season. So let’s look forward next season where Kobe plays his last NBA season and Randle his first.

Kobe Bryant, player of the Los Angeles Lakers, got his name from a restaurant named Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. He got that  name when his parents, Joe Bryant and Pamela Bryant, saw the famous beef Kobe on the menu.

I haven’t heard news like this before. An NBA player wants to quit basketball in the middle of his professional career because he’s not committed to it? In my whole life, I have never heard NBA players not committed to basketball. It was said that Sanders was interested in other options. I have to admit, this topic strucked me because it made me realize that sometimes even though you are such a professional athlete in a sport, you can have a heart on something else. It also made me realize that even the best people in a job, sport, or any profession cannot have the heart on what they’re doing. So to conclude, I say that whenever you make decisions make sure it comes from the heart and not the mind.

These two players have been compared for almost a decade because of their similarities. Even though most people choose Michael Jordan over Kobe Bryant, Kobe will always be the player closest to being like Mike. No other player aside from Kobe has been similar to MJ.

This Lakers roster led the team to its first title since moving to Los Angeles. Before Los Angeles they were  from Minneapolis. They were led by Lakers greats Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, and Gail Goodrich.

This team was the best NBA team during the 80's and one of the best Lakers that have ever played the game. They have won 5 championships that time under head coach Pat Riley.

Point Guard

Reggie Jackson
*He has great potential and can be a threat from the 3 point line. He is also young and athletic and can be the future point guard of the Lakers.

Shooting Guard

Kobe Bryant
*One of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball is hungry for a 6th ring. With his contract expiring at 2016, the 2015-2016 season will be a now-or-never season for him to win another championship.

Small Forward

Kawhi Leonard
*This player is a heck of a defensive player. He is the best defensive small forward in the NBA right now. This is what the Lakers badly need from him-Great defense and decent offense. He is capable of defending good players such as Lebron James and Kevin Durant.

Power Forward

Julius Randle
*He has great potential and is the future face of the franchise; more like the future superstar of Los Angeles. He needs to get more minutes to get more NBA experience. He needs to develop himself as much as he can to play like an All-Star.

Center

Marc Gasol
*The former Defensive Player Of The Year has come to LA to take the place of former Laker Pau Gasol, his brother. He has good passing and good rebounding and can score well on the post.

And there you have it, my ideal 2015-2016 LA Lakers with a combination of great offense and great defense. Hopefully, they will instantly make a run for the 2016 NBA championship.

We all knew that Kobe Bryant is a scorer, but that was before. At age 36 and coming off two major injuries, Bryant isn't capable of leading his team to a championship by a himself anymore. When the season started, it was all Kobe. He shoots a lot and doesn't share the ball. He didn't know that HE is the reason that the team loses many games until something happened. Kobe got rest from fatigue and missed 3 straight games. During his rest, he noticed that the team is playing well or better without him. The team played well that they even beat the Golden State Warriors which has the best record in the NBA until now. It was a wake up call for him!! And since then, he learned to trust his teammates, share the ball more often, and involve the other teammates on the court which results better teamwork. With Kobe playing like this, i have no doubt that he can still win a championship before he retires; a sixth ring to tie Michael Jordan.

The New York Knicks have lost their last 11 games and 18 of their last 20. Their last win was on Dec. 12, 2014. So who is to blame for the mediocrity of the Knicks? The Knicks aren’t winning even with Carmelo Anthony not playing so all criticisms are on head coach Derek Fisher. Because of him, the team is just 24th on offensive efficiency and 28th on defensive efficiency. Yeah, it might be reasonable to say that the team sucks because Fisher is just on his first year as head coach but this team is way worse than I thought. In my opinion, this might be one of the worst performances from a team that is expected to make it to the playoffs-Since they have a talented roster and a Triangle Offensive System. So to conclude, let Fisher coach the team for 5 games and if they’re still not winning, FIRE HIM!!!

What a great way to end the year 2014. Happy New Year everyone!!
